Don’t confuse Spots and Places!

Guys: Thanks to you the new Spotfav is becoming a great success! Visits to our new site and the number of downloads of the new App are rising, and rising.

As we anticipated, we are celebrating the release with our first contest, in which you can win a fantastic ION lycra. You are still in time to participate!

And it was actually following up the contest that we found out that you often confuse Spots and Places. So we thought it would be a good idea to publish a post to define them in order to avoid future doubts.

A Spot is a beach. That simple. The Spots are the focus of our project. You create and vote them so we get to install a streaming camera there (we understand that the more votes a spot has, the most interesting it is to our community). Surrounding the Spots there are the Places (restaurants, bars, surf schools, local equipment hire and other shops). Let not the literal translation of “place”confuse you and remember that in Spotfav a Place is not a beach.

We encourage all of you to continue creating Spots and Places, but have in mind the difference between them. Thanks to all of you for helping us to grow our community!
